TTSCC
had 50% more attendance than last year at this great event. That is, there were
three of us there not just two. Dave and Elena Edwards came this year and Cathy
had a bad cold so she didn't attend but Hey that's 50%. The last count I had
was 134 cars but I saw more entrants after that so it was a very good showing.
There were some unusual and beautiful cars there. We, the TTSCC, didn't take
any awards but the Edwards should have. I did win $25.00 in the raffle and got
beat out in the silent auction at the last minute. I turned my back and someone
snuck in
after me. Elena Edwards got two of her bids tho. I was watching her when I lost
mine.
The Saturday BBQ was excellent. I got there early to help set up but there was
little to do since they are very proficient at doing these sort of cook-outs.
I talked it up with the powers that be in the Chico Club about picking a diferent
date so it wouldn't coinside with so many other events but since they had what
they consider a good turnout my pleading may have fallen on deaf ears. We'll
see.
